USA Spring Tour 2008 - Undocumented.... ...the diary that never was.

Received March 2008 by email:

Sirs:

My wife and I recently had the great pleasure of seeing the Battlefield Band perform in Billings, Montana. It was a brilliant show and one that will provide fine memories for us.

In return, I would like to give this dynamic group a memory of Montana via the attached photo.

Please use the image without reservation, it would be my pleasure to contribute to Battlefield Band's web site, and ongoing tour. Mike Katz seemed almost beyond words in amazement and revulsion in relating his view of a festival which glorifies, and then serves up, calf testicles as some sort of bizarre gourmand experience.I've lived in Montana most of my life but have yet to ingest these "bovine delicacies." And probably never will.

Cheers,
J Larson

Battlefield Band:

You can't imagine my disappointment in viewing BB's recent Tour Diary update which showed "USA November 2008" but no "USA March 2008." My wife and I saw BB in Billings, Montana March 17th and were both impressed by the band's musicianship, showmanship, song-writing abilities and humor. In fact, I was so moved I created a "Montana testicle festival" BB photo which I sent to this email address. It was
apparently received with chuckling appreciation if I read the response correctly. I was asked if it could be used in the Tour Diary. I agreed with Celtic pride, but apparently this portion of BB's 2008 Gigantic
World Tour made so little impression on the band that they have omitted it completely from their Tour Diary.

With bitter tears I have downgraded my opinion of Battlefield Band from "stupendous beyond description" to merely "awesome beyond description."

It would assuage my faith in humanity if the USA spring tour could be added to BB's Tour Diary. Preferably by the end of the year as I would not want 2009 to begin with this heinous weight on my soul.

Cheers,
James Larson,
